SkyHoppers Private Aerial Excursion Packages

SkyHoppers offers 3 Caribbean flight training adventures for you to select based on your vacation availability and the amount of flight time you desire in our Cessna 180 Skywagon. These include our Whirlwind Adventure, and our Getaway and Lost-in-Paradise Adventures, which include blocks of 6, 12, and 16 hours of flight time, respectively. Each adventure allows time for orientation in the Cessna 180, and up to seven different Aerial Excursions throughout the island for you to choose from. Whether you are the only pilot in your group, or a group of 2 to 3 pilots wishing to share flight time and the price of an Aerial Adventure, SkyHoppers has an adventure package to meet your needs. For groups of 2 to 3 pilots, SkyHoppers requests that you make reservations for either the 'Getaway' or 'Lost-in-Paradise' Adventures, which provide more hours for pilots to share.

SkyHoppers 'Whirlwind' Adventure is ideal for pilots with limited vacation time or those interested in a basic orientation in high-performance & tailwheel flight operations, as well as student-pilots wishing to explore the world of flight while on vacation. Our 'Getaway' Adventure provides an intermediate level of orientation in our Cessna 180 and is ideal for pilots interested in earning their high-performance endorsement and/or developing proficiency in tailwheel maneuvers.

Our 'Lost-in-Paradise' Adventure will maximize your exposure to Cessna 180 Skywagon operations & tropical flying, and is ideal for pilots interested in a more relaxed excursion schedule with time to enjoy all the island has to offer, while developing greater proficiency in high-performance-tailwheel aircraft. Upon completion of any of these Adventures, pilots may earn any combination of Tailwheel, High-Performance, and/or Biennial Flight Review endorsements.

'Whirlwind' Adventure

The 'Whirlwind' adventure is priced at $2,495 U.S. and includes:

  • 2 Aerial Excursions over 2 separate days.
  • Up to 6 hours of flight time & instruction with the Chief Pilot as your personal tour guide & translator.
  • Additional flight time for aerial excursions or training is only $350 per hour including instruction.

SkyHoppers recommends taking a 6 day vacation to enjoy your 2 aerial excursions over 4 days in the Dominican Republic and still allow for 2 days travel to and from the island.

'GetAway' Adventure

The 'Getaway' adventure is priced at $3,995 U.S. and includes:

  • 4 Aerial Excursions over 4 separate days.
  • Up to 12 hours of flight time & instruction with the Chief Pilot as your personal tour guide & translator.
  • Additional flight time for aerial excursions or training is only $325 per hour including instruction.

SkyHoppers recommends taking a 8 day vacation to enjoy your 4 aerial excursions over 6 days in the Dominican Republic and still allow for 2 days travel to and from the island.

'Lost-in-Paradise' Adventure

The Lost-in-Paradise adventure is priced at $4,995 U.S. and includes:

  • 6 Aerial Excursions over 6 separate days.
  • Up to 16 hours of flight time & instruction with the Chief Pilot as your personal tour guide & translator.
  • Additional flight time for aerial excursions or training is only $300 per hour including instruction.

SkyHoppers recommends taking an 10 day vacation to enjoy your 6 aerial excursions over 8 days in the Dominican Republic and still allow for 2 days travel to and from the island.
